Carcasses and Small Caskets

Walking is part of my daily artistic practice, whether I am at home or traveling. On my long walks, I encounter abject objects that particularly intrigue me. Carcasses of bugs and animals. Little former nests and shells that housed memories. Carcass sketching is not about death; for me it is about looking closely at the overlooked. Confronting what’s unpleasant. What we ignore often has the most interesting narrative to share.
